Born and raised in Kailua, Shannon comes from a long line of professional water instructors and lifeguards of Hawaii. She has more than 25 years of ocean safety experience as a Kailua Beach  Lifeguard and as a Junior Lifeguard Instructor. Shannon has strong coaching skills and is goal oriented. Additionally, Shannon has a BA and MA from Hawaii Pacific University.
